f*^king hardedst decision of my life
hey all.
Does any one know what the Australian record for Silver Bream (tarwine) is??????
sooo, I was fishing at one of my spots in the swan 2day, started of with plastics and got a tailor and 6 bream, nothing huge, moved to another spot and put on a green and yellow 1/12 tt ghost blade, started flicking it arround and mannaged another smallish bream 2 flathead, one went a good 50cm.!!!
next I hooked a huge fish. whent on several lone line burning runs, I was thinking it was a mulloway, but after atleast a good 5 minute battle a fu@!#$g HUGE silver bream surfaced... i was in awe and after finnally getting it up onto the jetty, I measured.it.........
It whent a bloody huge 61 cm!!!!! and weighed a good 3 1/2 - 4 kilo!!!!!
I was then left with the extreamly hard decision of killing and keeping it and have a crack of holdind a Aussie record, or to release the huge beast and be extreamly satisfied.
In the end, I swam him for a litle while, and he/she swam off strongly.
what are your opinions on weather I should have kept it or not and if you have ever heard of a Tarwine getting this big??
cheers,
Tom

Tom Life
is full of those tough decisions, however whatever decision you made, will always be the right one for you and I think that's all that matters.
In your head and heart you know you had a bream that would have gone close to a State Record.
So when you go to bed, just before you fall asleep, have that little chuckle as you relieve the moment.

You did the right thing. I love the satisfaction of knowing that the fish is still alive and swiming/breeding.

Hey aussie
I'm happy for you that you caught such a magnificent fish, and I'm also happy for you to hear you released it. You'll never forget the day you caught that fish and the story will live with you forever, to be told over and over. So while you bask in the glory of such a great catch, you can also think of his/her offspring that await you in the future.
Well done, would love to have seen a picture.
