fitting new transducer

Hey fellas, I want to fit a new transducer to the back of the boat - is it best to just use sikaflex or is there a better sealant?

I didn't realise you could do it without the screws? Can I also use the sikaflex to fill in the old screw holes?

I would be very cautious about mounting it with just sikaflex as good as it is could lead to it geting knocked off and losing it it could just be a floating bag or rag never mind a cray pot rope, besides how would you adjust it if you glue it on in the wrong spot it dosent take long to drill a couple of holes and sealing them with sika.
