Fishing tommorow

after some opinions on fishing tommorow, Perth metro
swell looks quite big out wide but not too bad behind 3 mile to rotto
wind seems ok all day.
my plan is to head out early and fish behind 3 mile for snapper until sun comes up.
also any one know of salmon still being caught around mewstones ?
if swell seems a bit suss to head out deeper once sun comes up, Mewstones will be my back up plan for a bit of fun.
good luck too any one else heading out tommorow morning.
looks like today is the day but there is a thing that sucks called work...
cheers Steve.

I would have thought the swell only matters when your in shallow and they start getting steep and breaking.
Once your out deep they tend to just roll under you.
Going through the shallows in the dark would probably be the most dangerous part of the trip because you can't see where the swells are breaking.

the swell only seems to be 1 to 1.5 from rotto to 3 mile
so if they got that right id be more than confident going thru the passage straight out from hillaries in the dark.
behind rotto seems to jump up to 2 to 3 mtrs

Hillarys passage
went through there this morn in the dark, bit of swell but very safe.
My spots are so secret even the fish don't know about them !

Tomorrow
I'll be out there tomorrow. Not sure if I can be bothered fishing early as it will be freezing. Unless I can find a deckie and he can get his legs wet! ha ha

Hope they bite better than today
really hard to get a touch and the price of live crays MUST be through the roof because every lump and hard coral area in the 40's and 50's is covered with pro pots......and they don't respect fishos as two separate cray boats dropped a line of pots either side of me despite the fact it was clear I was drift fishing.....any they complain if you snag their gear!?
Swell was was up a bit but only nasty in shallow areas ...out wide not a problem at all but the lack of wind and drift didn't help the fishing

I wouldn't worry about snagging their gear. As long as you tie a rag or similar to let them know there's gonna be a sinker flying up at them you should be right

I think you are missing the point
they left me with no alternative other than to stop the drift and move.....trouble was there were already so many pots any drift had to be really short or risk snagging. Have never seen so many pots even at the beginning of the season particularly out behind Garden Island.
