Can be a persons choice, a indicator to see where your lure is in snaggy areas, then theres the jigging braid to see what depth your in etc, yes it hi vis line does spook wary fish.

If you have a leader of a decent length it wouldn't matter anyway. I don't feel that fish could ever be detered by colours in lines.

apparently pink is the most
apparently pink is the most invisable colour under the water
saw it on a fishing show so it must be true
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Using gardies as an example
Using gardies as an example if they are wary they wont take your bait especially if they see your line, however they still swim around your line not afraid, change that to a 2-4lb clear or green mono they 90% of the time dont even think twice and take it, However fish in a frenzy usually dont care.

well, pinks/reds disappear
well, pinks/reds disappear first in the water column. forgot what the scale is called, but it has all the depths that the colour becomes, shall we say, invisible.

i know for a fact skippy can be line shy. i've watched em in burley trail nail everything but your floating bait. but as said , in a frenzy , they'll go everything
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I only use fluorocarbon...
...for lure casting with lighter gear. All the advertising says it's close to invisible underwater, don't know if that's true or not...but my catch rate hasn't fallen and it certainly is much tougher than standard mono. And I always try to use as light a leader as I can...skinnier the line, the less visible it is, and the lures perform better.

if line colour
was a big deal, people wouldn't catch bream. They can be the most finicky fish ever, but bream fisherman use every colour line under the sun and still catch fish.

Leemo ... just for your info
Leemo ... just for your info . the colour red doesnt "dissapear" at depth mate .. it becomes black so it shows up even worse than any other line . . the add campains for that cajun red line is a croc ..
main lines can be any colour .. but most of us are going to be running clear leaders or rigs id say .. im saying that i used to love the old Schnieder mono for rigs that are used around reef .

Yep. I always run clear traces/leader, so it doesn't make any difference.
