Fisheries bust

G'day guys

Just heard that someone local got caught with 200kg of mackie fillets by fisheries. All packaged up and ready to go. Assuming its a well known pilferer thats had a run in with fisheries on several occasions and well known by most up here to not do the right thing. Be very interested to see what sort of fine would be handed down for such an offence. What is it with these people? Also over the Easter break alot of the pro pots had been pulled with several "calling cards" of empty tinnies. What the ? Mackies have been hot as with everyone getting in on the action with plenty of tuna to boot.

Cheers Mick

G'day guys I'm in Kalbarri

G'day guys

I'm in Kalbarri Saltatrix. Nah not George this time Dumper. Starts with H as in Hans.

Apparantly his daughter owns a restruant in Perth with fresh Kalbarri mackeral on the menu. Lobbies as well. Not to sure if he was caught with any lobbies though. But fisheries has been hot as up here. Mind you trying to find a car park at the ramps has been near on impossible. Massivve influx of people and boats for these holidays so its been good to see them showing such a strong presence. Most boats have been bagging out on mackies in no time at all and just outside the rivermouth. Took my kids out for their first troll and we ended up with 5 macks and 4 tuna within 2 hrs and before we reached the sand just past Frustrations. We kept a couple of macks and released the rest. One good thing about the mackies though is that its stopping alot of people hitting the demersal fish and just enjoying the troll.

couldnt get a balloon out from Wagoe.Mind you didnt even get a tailor hit...thank goodness for Jack Daniels and cola cans..........

Saw heaps of boats trawling out from mouth and near cliffs of national park . Went to town once during the week and that was only to do a rental inspection on my house up there. Needed to get out ASAP...toooooo busy for me.  Boat ramp was absolutely chockers on Monday.

Hope that greedy prick gets busted big time............
