I have one and think they are pretty decent for the price and have never had a problem with it or had any negative thoughts to share. The spare spool is a big bonus. I put 12lb braid on the 2500 and 8lb fluro carbon mono on the 3000 for squidding. I also upgraded the handle which makes it look mint and feel much nicer.

i rate them pretty high like flexn said the spare spool is good i have 12lb nanofil on one and 8lb mono on the other, although the anti reverse would kick in evry now and again was annoying when you had a fish taking line, i puller it apart put it back together and problem is fixed.

they are good reels for the price. keep in mind they are not worth servicing if the bearings go. i had a 2000 size aird and the bearings went after a year or 2 of hard work, sent it off to daiwa with my td sol 3000 to get serviced, the aird was going to cost 170 bux to get serviced! needless to say i didnt get it serviced.
