Hi guys
I have started to use soft plastics and just want some advice on what your favourite soft plastics are for inshore fishing around 10 metres and what size jig heads you use in that depth l will mainly be targeting pink snapper King George whiting skippy and all other inshore fish.
Thanks

plastics
I target snapper and dhus with 5 inch plastics on a jig head with a 5/0 hook. Current jigheads are the 5/0 1 oz shad head from Big John's jigs. Plastics I use are zman paddletails or Abrohlos Tackle Mcpaddles

That shallow
And in the right conditions, an half oz jig h as should be more than enough. Cast in front of the drift line and twitch it back towards the boat as you go, making sure to have plenty of pauses and sink time along the way. I like the z man shad lures the most, about 5 inch always seem to work well for me.

Berkley jerk shads
In 7 inch are my go to placcy for inshore pinkys and dhuies, in nuclear chicken or any of the other glow colours. I use the nitro jig heads with a 5/0 hook, i like to work on about a gram per meter of water depth so for 10 meters a 1/4 to 3/8 ounce head would be good. If you can get the placcy to flutter down slowly it'll get hit if there is any good fish around. We use the same technique as Scano or sometimes we fish with the drift with the placcy rod in a rod holder, nice and lazy and works surprisingly well. I don't target skippy or KG's but id guess the 5 inch shad with a 3/0 jig would be a winner.
