Still laugh at some comments
Steve Correia makes on the old shows. But probably Ryan Thipthorp. Just a bloody nice guy.

little pom
didn't own a tackle store he worked there on occasions and was *allegedly* busted with his hand in the till and stealing products from the store, I know the manager at the time very well, little pom got thrown out of town.

Spoke to Nick the other day
Spoke to Nick the other day and he is about to start filming for a new fishing show. He said it would be a mixture of Fishing WA, A River Somewhere and and I-fish. Nick plans to fish with different well known fishing identities from WA. Can't wait, he said he is keen to do lots of demersal jigging and SP shows. With Ryan back on Fishing WA and Nicks new show hopefully will have some good WA fishing shows back on the box.
My favourite fishing personality would have to be fishwreckeds own tailor destoyer Colin Hay.

He catches fish on his shows
He catches fish on his shows and has stood the test of time, I like his no thrills attitude the same way that the TV network executives do that pay him.

i think any fishing show
i think any fishing show that can actually teach you something is good despite presenters.
(sadly there doesn't seem to be many / any)
sick of watching presenters catching fish and telling you stuff all about rigs and such.
lee raynor is good tho. got a vid of his on sbt's. best vid i've seen yet
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Steve Starling by far. He's done everything and is bloody good at it. Pretty good in front of the camera too, unlike others

Starlo and Buschy
They did a show at Hamelin bay years back during salmon season, freezing cold and poor Buschy crippled with arthritis still did the hard yards keeping up with Starlo and the film crew. They had a ball fishing the gutters down towards Boranup end. At least at the end of the episode they gave thanks to the pro salmon team who helped them out and swung the camera round to show us off to the viewers.

Love Malcolm Douglas
just to see the scenery where he goes, the isolation, what happens with high or low tides up north, how severe they are to the novice, as we down south can't image the tidal flows of the Kimberley, really isolated areas, must agree on the things he throws into cooking his fish, can't taste the fish, yup also Rexie baby. Must agree sick of watching fishing shows and all they talk about are rigs or rods. Being a alvey winch fishing girl, keep saying FO catch fish please, show us the fish, tell us if its good eating or cr^%$p, sick of seeing there faces yakie yak yakie, show us the fish tool head hahah.
I also loved Bushey (Rexie babies mate and had a moustache) thought he was good, is he the Bushey that went on his own and started filming his own show?

Thank you Dicey
hahahahah unless its a ruddy 1.5 meter tiger shark, old fart said have you seen where your line is (me huffin' & puffin' what the heck have I on) I'm winding in and the line is going south hahahah, released it, gorgeous looking shark, love the strips. Glad it was Bushy loved his fishing style,
Just a question boys and girls,
Why don't fishing shows, in WA or Eastern States show how to fish with alvey winches???

cause its limp wristed
cause its limp wristed tackle whores like us that keep the tackle business alive, and people are willing to pay for the expensive stuff and mostly hyped up gear, what happen to the old days when heavy rods and heavy reels was a norm, now all i hear when im near someone in a tackle shop oh its too heavy, go do some weights =)

So true Dicey
we spend about $50 or under each year on hooks or bait, if old fart doesn't catch a occie or two in the craypots,
Before I met old fart, he used to hand line in 100 metres of water to fish dhuie and a lot of his mates, mainly Europeans. They'd buy new line, stretch around the back fence then go fishing so there wouldn't be a big bow in the line at 100 metres. No you can buy pre=stretch line for fishing hahahah the good old days

Starlo and Bushy for me
Best WA team would be Steve and Ryan in their hayday. Looking forward to what Ryan is going to show us in the next FWA series. Should be good.

from hook line and sinker is always worth a watch and laugh. extreme fishing with robson green does the guy actually know anything about fishing. However he does get very passionate about it.

talking about hopeless
talking about hopeless shows...i watched some new one on foxtel the other night, calling 'Fishin Time' or some crap... they didnt even catch a Fish#$#$% was all advertising!!
River to reef not much better, but dam the female presenter is worth it!!!
Couldnt beat Ryan C and Steve, good to watch, i remember watching Steve jump off a charter boat because of sea sickness..think and the abroholos. And ryan drift baiting for pinks around the same time, that was good!
Dont mind the i-fish blokes either, good to watch, and both likeable tv presenters! But need a little more shows done in WA.

I think tool is a bit of an understatement. He's a false pretentious git!!
Every time ya see him he's got that forced smile on his face. Looks kinda like he's got a flying gaff up his ring.
