never had much luck around
never had much luck around hunters but the lighthouse beach is a good start at high tide, note I'm also chucking a 200mm lure, there are a lot of big mulletand gars around, found the fish on this trip are not chasing the smaller lures.
will'be fishing on the west side tomorrow wind permiting

dude the best spot that i
dude the best spot that i found best for landbased fishing is when you are driving along the mildura wreck road just before the bitumen stops take the track going right. go down 2 turn around areas on the track and walk over the dunes. the walk is an alright length so dont be worryed if you cant find the water :).
when you get to the beach it has perfectly formed oyster stacks out in front. at high tide you have to cast from the beach over the stacks bu t at low tide you can stand on the stacks and it drops down into perfect water. you will get spangos around the rocks on poppers asweel as coral trout but if you cats out you will probably get queenies and gold spot trevally.
seriously it is the best landbased spot on the whole cape that i have found.
