Battery drill

Wed, 2010-02-24 18:27

the ground at the lighthouse was as hard as rock in september
so take a battery drill with a long masonry bit a bit smaller than you pegs to pre drill no kidding! after 15 to 20 whacks with the hammer...I was buggered after 25 pegs! and make sure your pegs are cut off at an angle to help them go in. apparently the water behind the tourist buerau is better than the tank water on the site...it's also free.

Forget the food

Wed, 2010-02-24 20:30

Msye i wouldnt worry about taking food and buy it as you go, if your camping it take a lot of storage and fride space to keep it in good condition, we find it generally cost a few dollars more to buy local but it saves a heap of space and hassle around the site,  plenty of kambrooks and lights , carpet for the floor to get of the sand etc,  otherwise enjoy
