Good luck lads
I hope the water temp and color changes. Just back from 10 days trolling did not see water over 23 degrees or a tuna school past the 50m mark all week. Lots of water between fish. Would happily share any info I thought might help so here it is:
bottom of the nut in 400 held a few fish - very shy bite though, did miss two blues in this area, one jumped through the spread but never touched a hook, the other we got a good look at, grabbed the rigger but very shy barely snapped and let go. Few small blacks that mouthed the whole spread but no hookup.
Picked up a good blue in the 700s past the nut - nice fish about 180kg on a purple bonze
most boats where in this area. If you look out past that you will see a nose in the 1000m line. By fairly reliable accounts there was some warm water on it and some good blues but weather stopped me getting there.
there was a good current line running mid way between the far rig stybarrow and the inner ones, again very weather dependant - we picked up stripes on it and should have flogged it more as it was the best water we fished.
Lures that got attention
