pretty broad question there.
pretty broad question there. depends on what type of fishing your planning to do; bottom bashing, trolling, gt popping, spearfishing?
There is plenty of info on here and google already, might pay to do some research and then narrow your question a bit. If you check reports/brag board you'll see that you might 'expect' to catch a whole variety of fish.

Sharks. Lots of sharks, lots
Sharks. Lots of sharks, lots of big sharks and lots of little sharks too. Worst I've ever experienced. Some spots we could see half a dozen before we even dropped

yep - sharks
Just take a 50w and some wire and some big hooks - at least you are guaranteed of always getting fish. Sadly, whilst dumper was half taking the piss he is pretty much on the money so you can either embrace it, or get the poops by day 3 whe you pull in our fourth half red. IN reality - fish really shallow.

We weren't losing many reds
We weren't losing many reds to sharks as the little 2 foot school sharks literally plagued all our known spots. Might as well clear the gps as all our spots we've accumulated over the last 10 years are infested.

yep sharks everywhere, you
yep sharks everywhere, you get onto a doog fish you want to go as hard as possible to get to the surface. If your fishing bottom species dont fish light.... its very unlikely you will get a fish to the surface.

Yeah just got back from exxy
Yeah just got back from exxy and everyone is right the sharks are everywhere. Got some good catches of spanglies just outside the reef in the gulf-head out from bundegi boat ramp. We lost about 10 fish to sharks and at one stage had 6 circling the boat. Hooked onto one and it was leaping out of the water and doing spins till it spat the hook-awesome sight it was, never seen that before !!. Take lots of tackle because you will get reefed and lose heaps. My first trip up there and already planning another one-awesome. Try shore fishing near the wreck had some good fun there-but lost a lot of gear !!

thanks to all
many thanks to all who provided information . Hmmm looks like it might be a bad time to go up there, I don't like pulling up heads of good fish knowing that I'm vertually had feeding sharks.

People just need to be more
People just need to be more adaptable on thier fishing it seems. Can usually get half a dozen big spanglies each day no probs- catch and release after getting one or two for the table of course. Last year in two weeks we lost 2 fish to sharks. Took home spanglie, cod, mackeral, trout and cobia. The secret is obvioulsy dont go fishing deep.
If people are catching sharks, start filleting sharks. They aint bad chewing and your going to reduce the numbers that way!
Fish for thrills....
