just had a read of this - pretty impressive pulling up with a handline (well some of the way at least after the reel failed)

Deep water only 17nm out
From Escape Island, hence easy to target deep water species, there are regularly huge snapper schools along the edge of the drop off where it goes from 100 to well in excess of 400 in less than a mile

Unreal catch.
Unreal to see fish of that size come out of the depths. Been lucky enough to catch 2 smaller versions of 8 bar cod.
We were told they ate well !! Each to their own. I believe the Trevalla's eat well ? Is that so ?
