A bit more explanation
Hi Blackgen
Sorry for the long delay.
I don’t make these to sell, just for my own reel. The reason I make them is I think the Daiwa item is inferior. Cable wiring is plain copper – not tinned, and I have had 2 fail already.
Closest plug I could find was from Jaycar – PS2014 ($3.75). Very close fit, pin outs perfect but OD a bit big so had to file it down a bit. Also securing lock ring didn’t match so cut it off and secured cable to reel with a small cable clamp.
Cable I use is 4mm Twin core tinned which can easily handle the maximum current draw of my Tanacom (30A). This cable cost about $2.50 per metre on EBay. Wires are soldered and then I double seal with glue lined heat shrink. Cable length to suit your layout and connectors at ends whatever you want, crocodile clips etc.
Hope this is clear. A little bit of work, but I think you end up with a superior cable to the Daiwa original
