Easter

With Good Friday looking like a belter weather wise I have no doubt there'll be a flotilla on the water.
What's everyone's plans? I'm hoping to hit the 50m mark where I haven't been for quite a while.
Solunar calendar saying 51% fishing efficiency, in other words fish have half a chance lol.
Will float Mulies out there too in that last hope of a Mack, saying that up to Gnaraloo early May so will gte my fix there fingers crossed.

We took this up with Fiisheries sometime ago.
If Easter is in March season opens good Friday.
Both RFW and WAF had the wrong dates and was corrected some months back

Certainly hitting the water
Certainly hitting the water up here. Weather is looking good so new ground will be on the cards. Still trying to get Sandy onto her first legal trout .certainly wouldn't want to be at a metro ramp

See if I can burley up a Pinky. Broke my wrist up at Ningaloo late last year so hopefully I can test it out tomorrow.

We did alright. 2 nice Baldies, small dhu and a few skips and beat the crowds back to the ramp at 10am.
Kept losing half decent fish with broken leader including 80lb leader in 42m off Hillarys. I think it was likely sharks as the drag wasn't overly tight and I couldn't see any leader splitting/fraying when retying.

2 good blackarse, a dhu and a baldie for us.
Launched @ ~5:45 from Ocean reef, no queue at the ramp, but had to queue to get a ticket with only 1 machine in operation... By the time I parked the trailer and got back to the boat the queue was quickly building. Said to my mate that the ramp will get interesting very quickly!
Back before midday and again no waiting around. Quite happy with the day all round.

Was a slow bite for us and no fish on board till 10.30 apart from a small Hammerhead. Ended up with two stonker Baldies and two Dhuies around the 6kg mark
Wind dropped out nicely but was still a bit lumpy and ended up with sore arse muscles lol

Noice!
Yes was a lumpy trip out for a couple of big Black Bums, a good Pinky and similar size Dhu for us.
Had a solid hook up, got a few winds up then something huge ate the whole thing and took off back to the bottom.. more than likely sharked.
Fish seemed to be a fair way away from the lumps which was unusual compared to previous visit's.
Back in on 30kts was pleasant.

Crunch
On friday my misso seen a tinny getting towed down the street in the middle of town that looked a bit wobbly and standing up,seen the trailer off the ball swinging by the chains and within seconds the tinny had entered the vehicle through the back window.would of ruined his break!
