dunsborough help

Hi guys

I live in Busso and feel like a bit of a fishing location change.

Thinking of launching at Quindalup but have no idea where to go.Only launched there a couple of times but stayed in close just for squid and whiting.

Just wondering on a general direction to head and would I start looking in similar depths as Busso for Dhuies and kgs?

Have had a quick search and the 30m mark sounds like the go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Choc.

30mtrs for Dhus and baldies in the bay atm and 60 mtrs off the west coast. if your in the bay keep a spin rod handy with a metal slice or jethead as ive had some huge bigeye tuna come by the boat on my last 2 trips out.

Enjoy :)

Unsure on your boat size

But as a general pointer you could head out to the Cape and head North-West approx 7-9 miles and sound around in this area , as for KG's you are probably better off staying in the Bay. If going out off the Cape you may want to consider either launching from Old Duns Ramp , or if conditions , experience (and boat size ) allow out from Canal Rocks. Bit early to tell yet but it is looking like there may be a window in the weather next weekend..Post your results.

I had a bit of a fish out from the Abbey boat ramp choc and was surprised at the kg's that were around the weed banks so i reckon it's worth a go.
