take the boat!
Salmon will still be around Davey so worth taking the boat for some action and there's always big squid & other table fish to be had!

I would bring the boat
generally good weather that time and plenty of fish around the shallows for whiting through to deep water off the cape.

Bring the boat
Take the boat and chase the samon you won't regret it. Remind us when it get's closer and you'll get pointed in the right dirrection. The Geo bay is quite calm that time of year so you'll have the option to go out.
