Hi Guys, Head someone today (greenie) saying that they reckon they caught a dolphin on a drum line of perth? I didnt hear it myself but according to my grandad they were reporting that a dolphin had been caught. Is this just some effort by people opposing the drumlines or is it infact true?

It's not true. Jargon started by greenie poonces to get col to retract the drumlines.
The rumour went that cray fisherman found a dolphin carcass floating near a drumline.
Facts are: 1) carcasses would sink. 2) cray boys are all out deep, not 1km offshore where the drumlines are. 3) greenies will beleive whatever is required to get their point across. 4) greenies and anti cull protesters should obtain jobs that earn them money not provided by the government.
*please note point 4) is purely the belief of Scotto

Crap just like the apparent footage of rays being hooked up that never eventuated . Greens Lynn Maclaren was on the radio this morning milking it for everything she could , stating they had a eyewitness account from a mystery paddle boarder that had supposedly seen a baby dolphin had been hooked up .. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story ( seems to be their motto ) when trying to suck in the general public and attain media attention .

Anyone with half a clue about marine life, knows that a small dolphin on a massive baited hook is as good as impossible. Hundred of kilometers of long lines and thousands of smaller hooks on pro lines without a dolphin capture, but a few massive hooks off the metro coast nail one in a week? He or she has an unamed but reliable source deeply placed. So I kept asking for proof before you gee up the general uniformed populace to unfounded accusations of a Dolphin being caught. I also said I would stand corrected if it were proven to be true. No response. Yeah I saw a UFO said an ex Russian astronaut, got proof? Nup! Hmmm I'll believe you anyway. Bollocks!!
