Drum line bait

Hi guys,
What sort of bait they using? The photos attached looks like three herring or slimy macs threaded on a hook. Isn't that a bit light on for a big white?

live seals and activists would be better
live seals plus activists would be better imo ,drum lines wont catch any gws atm,they should be outthere during the winter months to early spring during whale migration ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
