dan1, I use a burley bucket when the drift is slow. (light winds) Check my vid on previous post when i land the baldie of mindaries. Burley pot is clearly in view and worked that day for sure.
I also have a home made pot with a lead wieght ,40m thin rope and a float. I drop it on a lump or spot i see fish. Then use it as a visual mark and return to it and start another drift. Works well for KG's and snapper.

didnt drift, but anchor wasnt
