Previous Link for this rebuild
Hi Guys
Can you put up the link to the previous photos so I can have a gander at the specifics of the boat both inside and out. Looks good - I'm gonna have a crack at doing a rebuild one day - the Mrs will FREAK if she read this - reckon I'm safe though!

Sorry David. Lol. Got a bit
Sorry David. Lol. Got a bit mixed up there with the other posts. You can just call me "stupid" if you like?
I don't know anyone David, sorry mate. Was just wondering if you had found anyone yet. Also checking to see if you had contacted anyone at Cobalt Blue Marine? I'm keen to do my own re-build one day but I doubt it will ever happen (unless I win lotto so I can take some time off work). Also curious to know roughly what it would cost to get something like that done.
I think once you have finished, it will be so much more rewarding heading out and catching fish in your new tub than if you had of bought a new boat. It looks like going to be a sweet rig!

By the way, Ron. Yes, very itchy to get out there especially when the weather has been so glorious over the past few weeks. Maybe not today but yesterday was superb!

Money pit
No Wazz, haven't contacted Cobalt but the painting may have to wait. The best person to ask how much it would be to do something like this is Nico. I mean the materials alone so far have cost around 2.5, the boat was 3.2 and the engine was 2.2. Electronics and miscellaneous have cost around 2. Labour ? The pod alone took nearly 25 hours and god knows how many hours we have spent on the rest.

Continuing on
The boat is nearing completion. The inner hull has been modified to fit an inbuilt fuel tank. We finished the frame today, the baffles will go in next and then the top will be put on.
Quite a contrast to what it was like only a few months ago.

Rebuilds
Completed my rebuild on a Baron Sportsman two years ago, is always something to be proud of when the completed project is what you set out to do. I tossed the receipts in the bin so the wife wouldnt find them but I could have purchased a new boat for what i spent but wouldnt exchange it for any other boat

Worth every penny
So far we have stayed with in budget, and the value of the boat will far exceed the amount all up we have spent on it. But the reason for the rebuild, was to make a boat that was designed for what we wanted not what some manufacturer thought would sell. We shall see how good we did.
