Dinner ( robbos/tailor)
Submitted by little johnny on Thu, 2022-01-13 12:45
Just in case my boys think tailor not good enough for them I done some robbo for them. Mate gave me some yesterday. I don’t get it that often , but in my books texture/taste and the clearness of fillets are world class quality.

Don't tell them which one
Don't tell them which one you give them . See if they can tell the difference.

Robbo
I find robbo the most over rated fish there is. Pearl perch is unbeatable in my opinion.

Boarfish
Boarfish is right at the top of my list, sadly never heard of one being caught on a line. Used to get them when demersal netting down south but if you are diving and spot one then ping it with your spear, they are magnificent.
Next is nannigai then toss up between coral trout, robbo or baldy

Not to share list
Both Pearl and Robbo are on my no share list.
They stay in the personal stash.
All others are available.

Robbos are great, but another
Robbos are great, but another good one (for the deep droppers) is the Tilefish - awesome pearly white flesh, similar texture to coral trout

Dhufish
Looks like a small dhufish without the black stripe across the eye and a black lining in the gut cavity
