I have some on my trailer

I have some on my trailer mudguards as I have slipped on them a couple of times climbing up into the boat it has solved the problem.

Also have a bit forward of the anchor well to cushion under the chain (dam deckys). Is a good product but how it goes with getting little bits of bait etc in the joins (albeit they would be very small joins) I couldn't tell you.

My worry would be water

My worry would be water getting trapped underneath. I would guess that it wouldn't pose so much of a problem because it is stick down but remember that it is a gamble and it does cost alot of $ as opposed to marine lay down carpet which you can remove and clean. Reed matting is also an option but is also just as costly as the diamond decking, maybe a couple hundred less but more practical in the fact that water does wash away under it to the scuppers.

I recently built a new boat and also considered the diamond decking but in the end chose removable marine carpet as it is cheaper and easier under foot.
