Haha sorry about that don't know exactly but there are little streams that go towards the ocean about 20m across.

They are the ones when your driving along Caves Road South of Busso and you cross a bridge they have little streams.... some big bream and redfin in there!

Most of them are only open

Most of them are only open to the sea at certain times of year, most are pretty dead though. But that said, Toby's Inlet is probably the one that fishes the best (and the most)and the one just shy of "The Shack" as you head towards Dunsborough has fished well for me in the past, but being so small means there's only a small population of fish in there, so catch and release is the go. Some massive crabs get in there also.

Cheers

That's the one up from Monahan's corner, called Monahan's drain. I've caught heaps of nice yellow fin whiting in there but not a lot of blackies.

Cheers

Busso

Mon, 2010-08-02 19:44

Can't offer much for Denmark except for some whiting, silver bream and herring off ocean beach and a chance of a stray sambo or salmon off the rocks..

Busso at Easter is the start of salmon season with any of the spots from Quindalup through to Bunker bay and down the west coast from Cape Naturaliste, Sugarloaf rock, Yallingup, Torpedo rock, Smiths Beach, Canal rocks, Mitchell's rocks, Injidup bay, Prevelly park, Conto's, Bob's Hollow, South Conto, Boranup and Hamelin bay all top producers.

The jetty will be good for herring, squid, odd salmon, bonito and a chance of a sambo at night. The beaches west of the jetty for whiting and herring.

Hope this helps.

Denmark, plenty of beaches

Denmark, plenty of beaches west that'll have herring, skippy, tarwhine and the odd salmon or shark. Just cruise the coast. Head over to walpole too and have a fish over that way. Really not hard to find somewhere to fish down there, just have a look at a map!

Have done a lot of fishing around denmark over the past 5 years, both in boat (inlet & ocean) and on the beach.

The inlet has excellent KG whiting, start up around the mouth and work your way down to Pelican Island. Great mussels can be taken from the rocks if you are prepared to get wet, (good eating and great bait)

The rivers that run into the inlet produce some excellent Black Bream, Hay River and the Sleaman, River prawns and mussels are the best baits,

Beach fishing around Parry Beach is outstanding whiting, herring, skippy, rock species, salmon etc

Boat fishing from Parrys and Peaceful bay is something out of this world, last christmas fished from both locations and averaged between 9-13 species each morning, make sure you get an abalone lic because they are all over the rocks around Peaceful Bay.

There is also a small inlet at Parrys that has KG's and black bream

Im heading down that way again at christmas and cant wait, the fishing is that good.

Check out some of the pics i posted from last xmas at peaceful Bay

When the river mouth opens

Mon, 2010-08-02 20:48

In my younger years...... we used to fish the beaches when the river breaks through and catch some massive King Fish ( lose more than we caught). Walpole is just up the road and fishes well all year round.

River mouth is also good for snapper at the right time.  Then up the Hay river is good for blackies.  Heres a trip report from Buz a while back.
