Day Light Saving

Day light saving starts this weekend for Western Australians. What does everyone think, for/against?? Any benefits or negatives from your perspective?
Cheers,
Adam

Hailing from the uk
some 20 years back now, I couldnt wait for daylight saving to start here, but having gone through it I'm not so sure now, Yes I like the daylight at the end of the day I think it's great but I miss the early morning light just as the sun rises above the horizon and the birds are singing in the bush and I'm having my first morning cuppa but it's still dark when I get up in summer now, Ah well hopefully we'll get our three year trial and maybe then I'll be sure weather I'm for it or against it. Cant have it both ways though. or I could just get up even earlier!
Just my thought's

More boating time??? With
More boating time??? With the normal 20kt+ afternoon seabreeze, bite me!
Evening tailor fishing is a dusk light change thing. Now its an hour later that cuts back your fishing after dark as you need to get back home cause you got work tomorrow.
I like my morning time. I can go fishing in the morning when the weather is at its best, check cray pots or just take the dog for a walk.
Its a big NO from me.

All depends on the Latitude
But I think it's more relevant for people down south.
I'm currently in the UK which has Summer time, people think it's all about getting the extra hour of daylight. In summer with time adjusted, the sun is down by 10pm and it's back up just after 4am.
If you look at it unadjusted that'd be 9pm and 3am....
I personally think they use daylight savings so there's an extra hour of darkness in the morning (though I'd say 99.99% would disagree with me).
But that's my 2 pence worth.

Heat
With the heat up here in the North I think its great. Too hot to go out in the lunch hours, so when its bearable to head out you get that extra hour before having to come in.
As for the serious side of things with kids and stuff.... buggered if I know. :()

Yeah the extra hour for fishing is awesome, as far as being dark in the morning goes... I don't really care, all I'm doing is going to work.

No for me. Prefer to get out in the mornings, but that will come to an end soon.
Also it's hard to get the kids in bed when it is bright out.

For someone like me who basically lives at work i dont really give a shit, however it is nice to get home when its light instead of going to work in the dark and coming home in darkness as well. Bit of a change.
