Picked up a nice single dive bag today, crays galore and easy pickings, was a bit of swell and surge about so if your dropping pots make sure they are heavy.
Great catch there Timboo, you guys definately have your priorities right :)
suprised how quiet the place was today, didn't see a single other boat with a dive flag for miles off hillarys. Single dive in 14m, 1 jumbo, the rest for us were 76-78 and having to get through walls of kakkas to get the only just sized crays. Sounds like deep is the go at the moment. No pro pots anywhere near the shallows.
Fisheries waiting for each boat at the ramp, as would be expected with the first day of crays and the ban
Been a great 3 days for us this week, 42 crays from 3 dives. Dived today in 18m and the place was crawling with them so depth doesn't seem to be too much of an issue. Haven't seen a tar spot / berried / setose cray yet.
Avoided our friends this week Dave, they can keep that spot for themselves I think.
