the current is tide

the current is tide dependent
you need to fish between the change of tides when the tide slows down and stops
this is predictable using tide guides but usually inaccurate
the best way is to ask locals or go down and see when its strongest and when its ebb

it depends on what fish your after. on a light current the blowies and trumpeter tend to go further out from the rocks. if its herring and gardie your after the current doesnt matter. if your planning on putting a line on the bottom you will need a reasonable sinker to hold.
