Hi guys
going to darwin Tuesday for a three day conference. Have some time off up there and since I have never been was wondering whether it would be worth packing a travel rod.
Conference centred around the harbour.
Any info appreciated.

yep pack the rod and fish
yep pack the rod and fish the rockwalls near the indoor pacific marine centre, just down the road from the conevntion centre, or head over to the deck chair cinema and fish that rock wall, a good 8 to 10kg line will be enough.
Early morning and evening highs are the go.
cheers syd

What to expect
Should I pack some lures, or just use sinkers and the "sharp bent thingy's". What species are targetted? I have a load of gear from Karratha not used down here in Mandurah (yet) but obviously dont want to pack a whole lot.

Target milkies on your
Target milkies on your flyrod!
Do some research on the milkfish around "Doctors Gully". Sounds like the place was meant for you :)
At high tide you can pay about $10 to feed the massive milkies. Adjacent to this area is no fishing zone, but you can burley up the milkies just outside the no go zone. Bread for burley, bread fly to catch them.
