darwin barra charters

has anyone been on or heard of a charter running out of reelscreaminbarra charters operating out of darwin? i am heading up early july and wanna book 2-3 days. any tips on heading up would be appreciated re gear, clothing etc...cheers pete

No idea on that one. I used this one last year http://www.darrensbarra.com.au/ and had a ball. Nice big boats running Suzi 4 strokes and T Curve rods with a range of good baitcasters.

Will be hard work in July Pete as the cooler weather really shuts the barra down. Definitely worth going with a guide, but maybe have the back up option of black jew etc in the Harbour.

Pete - ask about Black Jew at the mouth of the Mary river which would be even better then the harbour.  15-20kg of rampaging Jew in 3-4 metres of water and then you can flick a few lures for Barra in that system.

Pack long sleeve shirt and pants - I used to fish in work overalls and take plenty of bushman spray to deter the sandflies.
