daiwa vadel thoughts

i am looking at getting a daiwa vadel 4000h and matching it to a daiwa lateo 7-15kg 11ft spin rod for beach fishing any one ever used this reel or rod and any reviews or advice would be much appreciated

They look the goods, was going to get a 3500h for chucking metals around.
My only concern would be if they're robust enough to handle bait fishing on the beach

or throwing poppers and metals around i was looking at the 3500 but it weighs the exact same as the 4000h but the 4 has more line cap i just dont know how large the reel is that was my concern i know daiwa 4000 are approx the same size as a shimano 6000 but is the vadel a bigger reel then a normal daiwa 4000?

Looks ok. Yes its a true Daiwa 4000 size. Same line capacity as Shimano 6000's. 3500 Daiwa more like 5000.
I'd go Shimano for midrange gearing material though.

yeah i
have always gone shimano reels biomaster saragosa stella stradics etc but just want something tough i can throw in the back of the car take to the beach for a night wash it off after something mid range enough drag for big tailor mulloway small sharks and i cna pick up a vadel for 239 brand new so thought trhis would be the way to go

Yeah ive got the vadal 4000h mate , awesome reel , i use it on a 7 ft gen black rod with 20 lb fins , mainly for light jigging and stickbaiting and its great. Stopoed some big longtails in it

Nah mate , cant say ive had a great deal to with much beach fishing over the years so havent even heard of that model. I do know the vadal was designed for shore casting however and sounds about perfect for wat your doing. Both shimano and daiwa are great products but in the last few years all my stuff is daiwa (rods and reels, except a few samurai rods ) except my heavy marlin gear and i couldnt be happier with the way its performed
