Better throw a strap over the boat before I drive out in the morning.

Windys forecast changed a lot overnight
We have been seriously considering a January trip to Exmouth for the first time. Was planning on leaving here 7th January for 10 days. As of last night, it was showing it crossing around Karratha on the 4th, well inland and moving south on the 5th. No problems for exmouth. Then this morning, it shows the system wandering west for another few days, then heading south, to be a couple of hundred k's off Karratha on the 5th. So its probable range of movement could easily take in Exmouth. We almost booked our accommodation last night, now we'll just have to wait and see. Bugger.

Prognosis seems to change every 12 hours
We went ahead and booked for 9 days, I'll take the punt. Windy now has it not actually forming a low until morning of the 5th. Crossing the coast between Karratha and Hedland around midday of the 8th. So anything, or nothing, could happen.

looking like the 2nd one may affect you?
Anyway, what happens, happens. Where are you staying, and what are you boating in? I'd promised my wife a stay at Mantarays, so it won't be a cheap trip Towing, with a Patrol ute w/canopy, a Reefrunner, "Exit Strategy". Launching anywhere between the Marina and Tantabiddy.

Changes twice a day.
just looked at it, currently predicting it to cross the coast somewhere between Hedland and Broome, Tuesday afternoon, then meander around inland before fizzling out. Some rain would doubtless be good anywhere up there. Weather in Exmouth coming good around the 11th.
