Current water temps

Was surprised to get water temps of 20-21 degrees west of Garden Island on Saturday. Nor'East current and the fish were biting hard aswell, demersals and seriola. 2 trips in a row to the same spot with a northerly current and the fish in a feeding frenzy.
Interested to know what others experienced over the weekend..

 Yeah beau I fished Saturday

Yeah beau I fished Saturday arvo on the 3 mile off hillaries and the fish were as hungry as I've ever seen them, probly one of my most successful anchor and burley sessions I've had. Mostly demersals, but did get busted off by a suspected sambo. And yeah we had a northerly current too, not over strong tho. Didn't take a water temp.

That current sucked, I dont

Mon, 2014-08-18 17:06

That current sucked, I dont drift over ground much, I just drop when the sounder says drop and hold posy but the jig kept driftin off the spot due to the current, just had to work out the direction and flicked it up current. Plenty of fish on the bite for us too, bait placcys and jigs all doin damage just no horses unfortunatly. No temp for us, mine not workin, but I questioned the accuracy of it anyhow. SST chart showed some warm water comming down the coast over the weekend, fair bit offshore but may be bringing summer goodies with it to add to strays that are still around

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Yep my fishing app gave it 1 out of 5 stars, hence why I never fish by it, only take notice of feed times myself

Poser and I fished north of

Poser and I fished north of Two Rocks. Had a ball on jigs in less than 40m of water. Dhuies, Baldys, snapper and a Blackarse... No big stonkas. Middle part of the day went pretty quiet. Don't know about the water temp. A few whales frolicking about.
