crays on bommies

 Hi guys

Looking at putting pots in this year for the first time ever.

I am in Busselton and plenty are being caught by the divers and there are heaps of pots out around Peppy Beach and Stratham on the larger reef structures.

I dont really want to put mine in the middle of everyone elses pots.I have a few spots in close that are just smaller reef bommies in the same depth as where most guys have their pots, we catch smaller dhuies, good pinkies, sambos and skippy on these spots and was wondering if the crays will hang out on bommies that are only the size of an average lounge room or do you need to go on the longer/larger reef?

Any help for a rookie would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Choc.

Definitely worth it!!

I find the smaller bombies very productive for Crays, especially jumbos.

Crays need a decent ledge to live under or they will keep moving. If there is a decent ledge there will be crays in there. Sometimes the best places are where there are no visible signs from the top... !!
