cray pot

hey guys making a wooden cray pot in wood work at school

Just wondring what the rules and regs are on this what wood any ideas ect

Doesnt matter what wood, but i'd use jarrah frame, pine slats.

Have to have 1 escape gap on the non rope attached end and 1 on either side, or two long ones on each side, neck needs to be at least 160mm wide, 915mm max long, 800mm max wide and 420mm high.

Have a look at the fisheries website but.

you could also go along to a place that has them, take all the measurments you need. i think oceanside has the wooden ones. great idea tho. making your own could work out a lot cheaper than buying one
