Crabbing/ peel estuary

Heading down the donnelly river for a few days camping tomorrow, anyhow can't seem to tow the boat thru mandurah with out thinkin bout a feed of blue swimmers. My understanding is the ban lifted on the 1st of november but haven't heard any reports come up. So i guess my question is, has anyone had any luck yet or given it a go? prob looking at going to owen ave. ramp around erskine area as its quick and convienient.

Should be awesome in another few weeks going by the numbers,,

went out for abuot 4 hours
went out for abuot 4 hours last sunday for 1 crab. plenty of small ones just ned the weather to warm up. that was in the Harvey estuary.

Cool thanks guys just bout to hit the road now, may still give it a go sunday on the way back depending on the time were making. If i do i'll let you know if its improved yet.

Yeah went for a scoop on weds night but only got 4 size for 4 hours. Lots of just under ones but not as many about as this time last year. Hopefully should be some good ones in a few weeks or so.

Can we look forward to the just under size being size in early december or is late dec early jan the best time down there ?

they grow pretty quick from ive been told. apparently they can grow 2-3 mm in a couple of days when the weathers hot. dont know how full of meat they would be after growing that quick.

Gernerally i think everyone should let them grow and not catch till late december. That way they are good sized ones rather than just sized.

yeah i agree bodie, but unless charlie chan and the rest of the pingchow family do the same, then they will always be just sized down there.
