Couple of fish from yesterday
Managed to get out for a fish for the first time after the opening. Started out at first light only to find a strong south easterly blowing and lightning on the horizon. Decided to stay in close for a while until conditions improved. My mate caught a nice queeny that was released after a quick snap. After about an hour the weather improved a bit and we headed out. Got to my first destination only to find a pro fishing there so decided to keep going. Got to the next spot and the wind had started to swing south west. Caught a nice sambo which was released and a few other small fish. By now the wind had started to pick up and the drift became quite fast. Decided to give one more spot a try before heading in. First drift my mate Dave scored a nice dhuy. Next drift Dave hooked up again to something solid. After a short fight the fish managed to straighten the hook and get off. Bugger! By now the wind was quite strong and we decided to call it a day. Came home with a nice feed in trying conditions.
Cheers

Gday Feral. Yer mate was fishing west of yals. Wind got heaps stronger once we got around the corner. Made the drift way too fast. Found a nice little ledge I'll be hanging to try again in better conditions.
