Coral bay shark attack
Submitted by scotto on Fri, 2021-06-11 13:58
Suppose it was only a matter of time, before a young child was attacked. Today, a 10 year old boy snorkeling at the very popular 5 finger reef at coral bay, has apparently had his foot bitten off.
All this, as the DPIRD dodged the shark mitigation policies recommended by recfishwest in the latest bout of rule changes.
im deadset fuckin sick of this shit. Something HAS to be done about the shark numbers in wa.

According to fisheries new
According to fisheries new regulations as per yesterday
sharks aren't the problem
the sooner these blokes get a grip on reality and realize the excess of sharks is the main issue the better
what is disappointing is that it will take a child to get bitten, as it has now to get some people to stop and take notice
feeling very sorry for the poor young kid snorkeling and getting bitten just shouldn't happen

Not good at all. Maybe someone may wake up to themselves and do something about the shark numbers.

I bet the parents are hanging out for some dickhead to victim blame their kid and lecture them on the risk of entering the ocean

Old day trick from Abrolhos
Totally agree Sea-Kem, just kill a couple everytime you go fishing, hang one about 10m under your boat, they will all phuck off, then enjoy your fishing.

Maybe
Maybe that is the answer if Fisheries wont do anything about it. Instead of them taking good table fish, then turn the sharks onto themselves, that way it just becomes part of nature. Everyone is happy.......LOL
