 Yeah. Apparently the same group that were leaving sharks laying around leading to the Cockburn councils attention.

I was there when this happend and police are looking into it. They didnt get my tiagra because a i ran off with it, my mates who didnt run had it bad. We had no chance of dedending ourdelves, i had seven other mates fishing with me, the group who attacked us had more people all of them way bigger than us. Max 

 Pretty sad state now, when not even a group of young blokes having a fish are safe. Hope the gear is all returned and the crims get some hard karma, coz we all know the law will only slap em on the wrist.

All the stuff can be replaced with a bit of time and money . The main thing is there wasnt any serious injuries or even deaths. People that do this sort of thing usually wont stop at threats. 

Hope someone gets whats comming to them but to be honet do go holding your breath. Only way they could be caught without doubt is on camera as someones word is not always enough even with eye witnesses.

 The one in kwinana Dale. we know its a dodgy place but we were in a fairly big group and have fished it heaps over the past few years, would think a group of 9 17-18yr olds would be ok but we were wrong. 

 No worries, I thought it might have been the horse beach up near the old South Freo power station.

Rockingham Detectives are appealing for information in relation to an incident in Naval Base in the early hours of Sunday, 13 May 2018 in which one victim was assaulted and another one threatened at knife point. Around 6:30pm, a group of teenage males aged between 15 and 18 years set up camp on Horse Beach to spend the night fishing. Sometime after midnight, a group of 6 to 10 men walked into the camp site and threatened the teenagers, demanding their fishing rods. One of the men struck an 18 year old victim to the head causing a laceration that required two staples to close. A second offender threatened another 18 year old victim with a knife. The men forced the victims to lie on the ground whilst they searched through their bags. The men walked off with the fishing rods and other personal property belonging to the victims. The man armed with the knife is described as 20 to 30 years of age, fair skinned, 190cm to 200cm tall, with a large build and protruding stomach, short brown hair and facial stubble. He was wearing light coloured long pants and singlet. Description of the other men are as follows:- • About 19 years old, fair skinned, 175 to 180cm tall, with a slim build and blonde hair. He was, wearing a singlet and shorts; • About 25 years old, tanned skin, 185 to 195cms tall, with a dark beard or moustache. He was wearing a blue hoodie and dark pants; • About 19 years of age, fair skinned, 165 to 170cms tall with long brown hair; and • The remaining men are 20 to 25 years of age, fair skinned, wearing dark coloured shirts and dark coloured shorts. Detectives would like to speak to the owners of three cars parked in the car park of the beach (Riseley Road) on the day of the incident. 1) A white Holden Rodeo (approx. 89 model) 4 door; 2) An orange Holden Commodore SS (approx. 2010 model) sedan; and 3) A white Holden Landcruiser utility (approx. 2000 model), stickers on the rear, black rims, lift kit. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, or dashcam vision of people in the area from 4pm Saturday to 1am Sunday, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at

 this whole thing sounds suss to me  10 blokes attacking  a bunch of fishos ? why would they rob and bash them its not like they would  have big bucks on them apparently lost 6 k worth of reels , jmop but sounds like an insurance job  , 10 blokes wouldnt be able to keep their mouths  shut on somthing like this it would get out, also is the 6 k reward fair dinkum if yes me and old mate will suss out the rocky low lifes for info 

 That's bloody terrible. I was always allowed to go fishing as a young bloke because it was viewed as something you couldn't get in much trouble doing.

 Next time your mates having his head caved in with a tiagra, your outnumbered, fighting against people double your size who have metal bars and knifes, and your standing there with $2000 worth of stuff, cant fight for shit and dont have a weapon then come say to me running away is bad idea. Many years ago when I used to do a fair bit of beach fishing in Warnbro Sound, I had a scary experiance one night involving a couple of drunks, after that I carried a rocket flare on me as a bit of self protection, a bit outragious you might say, well it made me feel a lot safer being alone on the beach I can tell you.

I hope the cops come up trumps and these guys get their gear back.
