to all fw members, im a massive fan of my northern beach fishing, using big baits & fishing for tailor
i heard gardies are a great bait to use in general at night off the beach.
im willing to go and catch my own fresh bait and just wanting to know where i can catch gardies around the perth metro area.
any info would be appreciated heaps.
cheers

Had a ball yesterday arvo catching huge ones off the main jetty at Rotto. Even better was the massive sambo that kept coming out from under the jetty trying to eat them as we lifted them out of the water.

I've been known to get quite a few at the Cottesloe Groyne. Use the same method as catching herring

Burley is a must, The best
Burley is a must, The best bait is fresh maggots if you can be bothered, usually a small bit of prawn or squid will do the trick.

Use a #10 or I prefer #12
Suspend that 35-40cm under a plastic berley cage. Wogs are my go to bait. Always fish the calm water.
Good luck
