Carbon Tax! will it effect our life styles like fishing etc?

with the carbon tax now through the Senate, what will be the impact on you and fishing etc?

http://www.news.com.au/business/government-sticking-to-23-carbon-price/story-e6frfm1i-1226188450227

When will they next leave a "sports pollution tax" next?

Will we see some form of " carbon leavy" on outbards, 4x4's and motor cycles ( off road ones ) etc...

Old Bob the Brown Greenie is in his element and on a role and will push even harder now to get more Greens policy through and steam role the Ginger Ninja...

just watch my words... he got a finger and he is about to go take himself an arm....

ps goverment say it will cost you an extra $10 a week approx~ does this seem realistic to slow down pollution or just will become a nuisance tax, like parking meters in cities etc...

I predict that no-one will

Tue, 2011-11-08 14:29

I predict that no-one will even notice it after a year and the only ones talkin about it will be Tony's Cronies trying to get it reversed.

The government would have to be even more stupid than I think to bring in another tax or levy anytime soon. Highly unlikely in my view, they are already in damage control.

In terms of slowing down pollution, of course it will have an effect. Climate Change on the other hand requires some more iniative wordwide.

without

without a system to actually measure carbon emissions, it is going no where.  If they want companies to accept it they could

of at least created a system in which emissions are measured, that way, it would be fair.

I also believe until people pull their heads out of their bums and realise our climate is changing, they will detest it.  On the other hand, direct results need to be shown to encourage the right thing.
