Can I start 2025 again please

Thought I would start the new year with a trip out chasing Dhu and baldies.  Launched boat and newly refurbished Furuno 585 blew a fuse with no spare at 4am at the ramp.  Headed off anyway figuring I could fish sounder "blind" just heading to some of my marks on the Garmin GPS, as we passed the GI Carnac channel zoomed the GPS out to select a destination......only to find it had totally wiped ALL of my marks acquired painstakingly over 10 to 15 years.  Hmmm, 2025 conspiring against me. With me was a rank newbie......"we" caught fish, well he did, I didn't have a bite all day.

Can I start this year again please

New year..... new spots? Didn't have a backup? :( could they be still stored on the card? Might be recoverable if there's a removable SD card?

Not a good start at all. May be a sign to upgrade the electronics.  Hope you get it all sorted before the next planned trip

Thats a bugger! We didnt even cop enough pickers to have to re-bait before the kids felt too sick so we headed in.

Managed squid in the sound for the first time in 6 months and got a couple of crays and a swim in Herring Bay so it was a good day.

Marks gone, checked every which way but nothing

My bad, could and should have saved to the chip but never thought it necessary.  Sounder fuse blown and replaced this morning.......can only think that the alternator spiked both as way way too much of a coincidence
