how do people make necklaces with their mulloway jewels??? i dont wanna damage them, so asking how others do it. cheers
one was caught in april 11kg 110cm
the other was last night. 15kg 126cm.

I would never make a necklace out of them, but it is cool knowing that others are aware about the "jewels"....thats how the fish got it's name in NSW...jewelfish, later abreviated to Jewfish.....a Mulloway

Sorry Jeffree no idea so cant help ya good luck though. I spent ages making a nice set of jaws out of my first shark, I wouldnt do it again but the set from my first is a prized posession now. Post some pics of the finished product!

yeah a jeweler is the way to go .. if you get a baby drill you can put a hole in the bigger end and glue in a wire loop .. ive done that with shark teeth .. but for my own necklace i got a pro job done as it looks great capped in gold

However go get it done in gold, will look a lot better

Sorry dude but IMO men with necklaces just looks camp,(yes even the sort that don the thick gold chain). id keep them in a cigar box or similar in the man cave, i wouldnt wear and animal trophy unless it was something that could kill me for the ultimate manly look exept a fox tail hat, they are a must have drunk hunter item.
dip in a hardener to give them a protective coat after you drill/hotwire a hole threw them, encasing like a diamond would look a bit chunky.
