Calling KG whiting experts !

Hey Everyone
I'm new to Fishwrecked. I boat fish out of Freo.
I'd like to improve my KG captures. PB 51cm, but few and far between.
Does anyone have some tried & tested KG techniques they could share with me ?
Thanks :-)
Dan

Hey Dan. Welcome to Fishwrecked.
On the left part of the page theres the search button which will allow you to search though a wealth of infomration about various topics that have been posted before, including a fair few posts on KG fishing ;)
Generally for the big KG's, you'll want to be targetting them at offshore reefs, so 30-40m ish depth.

KG's!
Dan, the key is to find schooling offshore KG's. That said you need to find the ground that these KG's like ie broken ground & coral weed etc with plenty of sand that surrounds!
Prefered depth for offshore schooling KG's is 28-38m!
Skinned local ocky as bait, snelled 1/0 - 2/0 hooks, rising tide with clean water and low swell has been my success!
