I did a day trip

Saw heaps of good sized sharks in great visibility, couldn't ask for better. They say they see more sharks in winter however I went in December from memory. I'd highly Reccomend doing a multiple day trip if the budget permits.

Calypso Star and Rodney Fox

Mon, 2012-10-29 07:57

Both Calypso Star and Rodney Fox can bait and burley. I went out for an extended trip with Fox. Saw plenty of sharks. If you are a diver Fox is pretty good because they offer the chance to send you down to the bottom in a cage. It is about 20m deep and I enjoyed that way better than the top. In addition to sharks you see a lot of other decent fish down there, and the sharks are amazing.

Just be careful not all operators have a licence to use bait and burley, and from what I saw they are a waist of time. ACDC just doesn't cut it compared to good old blood and fish!!

haven't been on a cage dive

Tue, 2012-11-06 11:00

haven't been on a cage dive yet myself (came close but was crap weather - only a matter of time) however know a few who have and from their experience cand second both Calypso Star or Fox both are good operators with good reps.

Cheers
