Busso Advice
Submitted by GusG on Thu, 2009-04-23 15:55
I am heading to Busselton for the weekend and need a bit of advice. I have a 3.7m tinnie with a 15hp on the back and was wondering if the area out the front of Busso is safe enough to take that out there or does it get decent swell running in there? Also if I do take it out what sort of fish can you catch down there?
I was also going to take some land based gear and chase some salmon. Thanks for any help dudes, much appreciated.

launch from Quindalup and follow the other boats chasing salmon - towards the Cape... That's what I'd be doing...

damn straight
salmon fishing from a dinghy is heaps better.
careful of surge when getting close to shore/rocks.
if you are experienced/confident and weather is good, i recommend the west coast for salmon, normally a heaps better chance of finding them.
ask at dunsborough sports store or somewhere in busso for advice/directions. buy a couple of 'smiling jack' lures. they're the bomb
