Hey Guys,
Heading down to busso soon, looking to try and catch something big off the jetty, whats there and how would I go about catching it? I have a reel with 300 meters of 80 pound braid on it so i should be able to handle anything.
Cheers
Sam

livies
Float some livies or fresh squid off the end, bound to be a sambo or small dhu swimming past with the normal SW catches.

the end
You can only go as far as the observatory from memory, havn't been out there since i got a boat. You'll have to fit in with the rest of the visitors, locals and an army of "eastern" anglers who rape n pillage

Check the protection zone
There is a restriction on how close you can fish toward the jetty observatory. From memory is 400m surrounding the observatory. Should be clearly listed on the Jetty website. Catch some live yellowtail and suspend under a flat or balloon. Possibility of a salmon. . Bonito.. Tuna.. Sambo..even a Spanish Mack... one was caught off the jetty last week. Make sure you taje a gaff if you want to land your catch.
