wilbingia is a maybe, can be dead quiet on the fishing front, and full of bogans, is getting ruined. My suggestion would be just to drive north further and find a nice spot on the beach. Tims thicket is south and offers in my opinion better opportunities, ive never been there but I here its worth a shot.

Tim's is a great spot

But a little restricted because it is small. Might be better to head down the next beach south which is White Hills. Lots and lots off space to overnight there, and you can stay away from the "undesirables".

I was up in Wilbinga

Sun, 2013-12-29 19:57

I was up in Wilbinga yesterday for a look around. There was no weed but heaps of people.

I dont have a problem with the demographic of people but I do with the rubbish that they leave behind. We ended up taking more out than we took in......

Unfortuneately the place is being very mistreated at the moment and it would surprise me if we lost access in the future.

lucky bay

Mon, 2013-12-30 10:47

same as up at lucky bay. had a tour there yesterday and i was so disgusted with the amount of rubbish left by who i happily call feral city rednecks! one spot had a large drum full of empty bottles plus 2 black garbage bags near it full of bottles and cartons full of empties! i remember seeing these peanuts there last week but didnt take any numbers down. i can tell you that if this keeps up northampton shire will close lucky bay to everyone except tour operators. So be warned if you come up to lucky and im there and i see you leave rubbish around you would want to go the other way because i wont be so nice and your details will be handed to the local police and shire. Absolutely pathetic and im not looking forward to seeing it in the next few days!

Yeah it's not hard for these

Mon, 2013-12-30 13:15

Yeah it's not hard for these young f***wits to put their rubbish in the bin. Weren't they taught that as kids? The lazy and "I don't give a F***" attitudes are getting annoying, same with the drunken agression if you let them know there is a bin near by or to take the rubbish with them.

Back to the topic. Tim's Thickett is pretty good! It does get a bit busy sometimes though. Tailor, whiting and herring to be caught. If you want more space like someone else said head further south to Whitehills.

Just some info. Hit up south

Thu, 2014-01-02 15:50

Just some info.

Hit up south of ledge last night and will probably never go back to wilbinga during holiday times again. Shared the beach (for as far as the eyes could see) with about five 4wds. Was no rubbish left around (although 1 burnt out car in the dunes).

Heaps of weed and only a port jackson and estury cod landed.

Havent been up to lucky bay yet but will be gutted if access is removed before I can.
