bottom bashing rod.

hey all.
ok so im getting a TLD15 for bottom bashing.
what would be a good Fiberglass rod to match it up with? i'll be running 30lb braid through it but i would like a lighter rod so that it REALLY bends. i was thinking a ugly stick 8-12kg rod and push it hard but the rod is a spining rod... any thing like that would be great.
any help would be great cheers.

Penn senator!!
I bought the rod for the same reasons. Sensative enough to feel every bite but strong enough for snapper dhuie's ect. I got the 6-10kg version with heavy duty reel seat. Is retails for about $140 and I have it mated to a tyronos 10 with 30lb braid. By far my favourite rod and reel combo for bottom bashing!!

There is an ugly stick
There is an ugly stick bluewater model in the size you want. They are quite strong so it should do the job nicely.

more than a little
and less than a whole lot. Ask the Oceanside or Tackleshack crew, they'd be able to help you......
But you did mention you want a bend - you'll really have to buy a graphite rod with a parabolic curve, a f/g rod wont "bend bend" as such.....

Go for one of the Ugly Stik Gold series, we were using two yesterday catching rankin cod, pinkies and cobia on them. One was a medium and the other a heavy and both fitted with Shimano Charter specials, one with 50lb and the other 30lb.

Use three different rods with the TLD15s I have will check the exact name and ratings tomorrow. One that I have is fantastic cant kill it and has good bottom end power with top end flex, light and matched well to the reel. Was just over $100 have caught a lot of fish with it this year including a Cod over a metre
