bonito caught of northmole?

people fishing of northmole been getting bonito's and spanish mackerel with lures around 7-9 am in mornings?
i want photos of proof but the radio and few workers from fishing shops say thats there been a couple caught !! haha
its been a couple years since we used to catch them at woodies point with lures, i remeber my old boy bringing home 40 a night !! bonitos that is.

yep been getting into quite a few lately and can confirm mackie hookups, although none landed on the days i was there.
a worker from bluewater however states he has landed one and a good customer of mine witnessed it, dont doubt it for a second, fish everywhere at the moment.

Mole Macks
Hey guys,
the am crew have been getting consistant catches of bonito on all sorts of lures. When you stand next to the three hundred other people at the Mole you can see what mags they read etc. There are the mulie crew who have picked up pinkies and mulloway aswell but slower on the bonito and the old school with one colour of Nilsie. The bulk that I saw caught and caught myself were on small heavy profiles of shallow diving minnows and stick baits. I was catching on a Maria duplex 18grm white and others on the Duel Adagio and various other japanese stick baits. The thing to keep in mind is the guys using the jap lures were also using very nice equipment and getting longer average casts than the average (not all) punters on the mole so they were in the strike zone longer. I have seen two spaniards landed one trolled by a Yakker with a deep diver and the other on the Harbour side with a mulie. I had a small shark mackeral chase my bonito but that is it. There have been two big lontails caught that I know of and a big yellowfin.
Instead of talking about it get down to North or South Mole asap because this doesn't happen every year. There are more scalies down there at high tide than I have ever seen. Anything could happen and it beats breamin'. Tight lines

Went to north mole
Went to north mole thismorning, noone I saw landed a bonito but saw a school smashing baitfish near the wreck. They just didn't comeclose to the rocks where I was (up near the end of the mole). Shame cause I was looking forward to hooking some again but I live over an hour away so can't get there to often. If they're there in a couple of weeks time I might try again

nothing wrong with fresh
nothing wrong with fresh bonito, oven baked with fresh tomatoe garlic onion parsley and soem potatoes. fozen on the other hand its not so good it would probably be a bit mushi. its very fishy in flavour and not for everyone.

went for a fish at the north mole this morning for some bonito, but nothing, heaps of ppl around and allot using lures, i caught myself a nice chopper tailor before i changed to using a lure, but that was it, also saw one bloke fall down the rocks, lucky he diddnt get badly hurt
