Bill fish behind Rotto

Wanting to know if anyone has caught billfish behind Rotto, i am interested in taking a trip out there but I have never fished that area.
What/when is the best time to go?

December - march be the best
December - march be the best time mate there there but not in big numbers like up north be prepared to go days without a raised fish and that's if your lucky
